new module: buddylistinvite. This is an implementation of hook_invite. When enabled, this module will make inviter and invitee buddies of each other when the invitee accepts the invitation.

I don't like the term "buddy". I think of this as a contacts module. So now all the "buddy" variations are their own translations and you can translate just those terms to change buddy to contact, or friend, or ferret etc.

fix access when no groups are chosen. also add a UI for enabling/disabling the access control in this module. this is a required step. see the admin/settings/buddylist_access page

major update. added buddy groups. will also contribute an node access control module which uses these groups ... fixed many many bugs/ugliness, and probably introduced a few. if you are happily using buddylist now, you might wait a while until these changes get exercised by some sites ... database update required. i added a column and changed the indices. see the buddylist.mysql file

Renamed all README files to README.txt, as discussed in
http://drupal.org/node/11517. I have done this using some command line magic:

find . -name README -exec cp '{}' '{}.txt' \; -exec cvs remove -f '{}' \; -exec cvs add '{}.txt' \;

I will update all occurences of 'README' to 'README.txt' in the conrtib CVS,
soon. I'll also rename LICENSE, CHANGELOG etc. files as soon as I get around
to it.

-Buddylists now show pictures and whatever other fields may be enabled
in the same way a listing of users does (i.e., '?q=profile').

Changed calls to variable_get() to return consistent default values.

Changed _block() hook so that generation of buddies' recent posts uses
node_title_list()

Updated queries to use node_access_join_sql() and
node_access_where_sql() rather than just filtering query results with
node_access().

-Inserted some missing calls to node_access().
-Had to modify queries a little so that results would be compatible as arguments to node_access().

-A couple of minor wording changes.
-Changed the URL for the feed delivering a user's buddies' recent posts.
