Significant patch by Moshe Weitzman. Please backup your database before upgrading ... Improve DB integrity. Factor the is_public column out of og_ancestry table and into a new og_access_post table that is 'owned' by og_access module. Add primary key to og_ancestry to prevent duplicate entries. Requires a visit to update.php. Customized Views which relied on the is_public column will need to be fixed in the Views UI. Views that ship with OG are unaffected.

#290485: Port og_notifications + integration (see #276941) to D6 + a few other incidental (minor) fixes to get notifications working. These include a couple of $form_values / $form_state variable changes missed during the og port; message_ids not being updated in _og_mail_text etc.

Really give group admins the ability to edit group posts and group node in the event that og_access.module is disabled. This is just a bit less powerful than what node_access provides but it will have to do. The menu system in D5 has no alter hook so I don't think I can fix this there. Use of og_access in D5 is recommended.

Enrich the nodes that are bulk generated by devel_generate module. group nodes now get populated group info like private/public, list in directory, etc. Group post nodes are automatically afifliated with up to 4 groups.
